Here are some great puppet ideas: Glove Puppet: On a sheet of paper, trace a puppet pattern around your hand (lay hand flat, spreading little finger and thumb out, keeping other fingers together so that the little finger/thumb become the puppets "arms"). Cut out. Trace the puppet pattern on two pieces of felt or fabric with fabric chalk, then cut out the pieces. Place yarn for hair on the bottom piece. Pin the two pieces together and stitch together around the outside edge - making sure to "catch" the hair yarn as you go! Leave bottom open for hand to slip in. Cut out facial features from felt or yarn and glue on face of puppet. Or use a Styrofoam ball for a head- paint and decorate! Add other decorative touches as you wish! Marionette: A scarf marionette is a very elegant puppet that can walk, sit, crawl, and even fly. You can make a simple one in probably less than 45 minutes, or you can get "fancy" and add details and decorations. Start with the simple one and see how you like it! Cardboard Roll Puppet : Long faced puppets can be made on cardboard rolls. Glue on a tongue depressor as a handle! Folded Puppet : Fold a rectangular piece of construction paper in alternating directions for the body. Make arms and legs in the same manner using strips of construction paper. Add a circle for a head and tape a string on the back of the head so you can "make" your puppet dance! Finger Puppet : Finger puppets can be made from styrofoam balls, potatoes, apples or anything that can be hollowed out for a finger to be inserted. Simply hollow out the object and decorate it to look like head! Spool Puppet : String spools together with elastic, using large spools for the body and small spools for the arms and legs. thread elastic through a large button at the end of each arm, leg, and head so the elastic won't slip through. Draw a face on the top spool and ad dyard for hair if you want! Tongue Depressor Puppet : You will need tongue depressors, felt markers (fine line), scraps of cloth or felt, glue, scissors. Draw a face on the tongue depressor with felt marker. Cut a piece of cloth/felt for the clothes and glue onto the puppet. Variation: Magazine pictures of people or faces of the appropriate size may be cut out and glued onto tongue depressors to make puppets. Paper Plate Puppet : You will need paper plates, tongue depressors, felt markers or crayons, construction paper, scissors, glue Put a face on the paper plate using either felt markers, crayons, or cut pieces of construction paper. Add construction paper hat, ears or hair! Glue the paper plate onto a tongue depressor. Envelope Shark Puppet : Seal a business size envelope (long). Cut a triangle from one of the short ends to make a mouth. Tape the triangle to the top to make a fin. Trim off the edge of the envelope opposite the mouth, making an opening for a hand. Decorate the shark with eyes, stripes, and of course, sharp teeth! Dragon Sock Puppet : Put one hand in the sock to find where the mouth should be. Your thumb should be the bottom part of the dragon's jaw. Glue on the red fabric/felt oval where the mouth is formed. Cut out eyes, ears and scales from fabric scraps, and glue them on the puppet. Tip: Sew the dragon's features on so he will last longer. Pin a piece of fabric where you want it, turn the sock inside out and sew it into place. You can make any animal or even a person from a sock! Craft Stick Puppets : Cover the cardboard roll with white paper, and tape it on. Add features with crayons and/or other decorative items. Tape a craft stick securely inside the bottom of the roll for the handle. Works best if taped in two places! Tip: Wrapping crinkled aluminum foil around the cardboard roll makes a great astronaut suit! Paint Stir Stick Puppets : Paint the stir stick the desired color. Allow to dry. Add features with felt markers, felt pieces or construction paper. Add arms or antennae made from pipe cleaners. Wooden Spoon Puppets: Paint spoons with skin color. When paint is dry, draw or paint faces on the bowls of the spoons. Glue on yarn hair and add features like hats with construction paper. Wrap construction paper or fabric scraps around the handles and glue them on for the puppets' clothes. Juice Box Hand Puppets: Cut a juice box in half on three sides and fold on the fourth. Paint or cover with construction paper and decorate to make an animal. Fit fingers in the top half of the box and your thumb in the bottom to make it talk. Frog Puppet: Use a cardboard fast-food hamburger container, paint it green, cut twostrips of green fun foam 1/4" by 2" and glue ends to make a loop for your finger on the top and bottom of container at the back. Use fun foam to make tongues, eyes, etc. Ducky Glove Puppet: Glue small duck faces to the tips a glove's fingers. Glue a pompom to the back of the fingers for tails. Sing "Five Little Ducks" and use your ducky glove for finger play. Fly Swatter Puppets :Use pipe cleaners and beads to decorate fly swatters. Add feathers for hair. Family of Puppets: Decorate each finger of a garden glove to be a member of your family. Use yarn for hair, markers for faces and scraps of materials for clothes. Stuff the upper part of the finger to form a head and tie a piece of yarn around it for the neck. Clothespin Alligator Puppets: Make an alligator head in two pieces out of foam or paper. Glue the top of the head to one end of the pin and the bottom half of the head to the other end. Make a body and glue to the top of the clothespin. Open and close the clothespin to move the alligators mouth. Pop Up Puppets: Insert a Styrofoam ball into a tube sock to the toe. Push a dowel with glue on the end up inside the sock into the ball. Decorate the sock like a dog or cat using felt to cut out ears, pom poms for nose and mouth. Glue on wiggle eyes. Insert a tin can with both ends cut off up inside the sock. Hold puppet by tin can (sock is over tin can) while using stick to make puppet move with other hand. Spider Puppets: Cut a Styrofoam ball in half, cover with fabric and attach to the back of a knit glove, add facial to make into a spider. Feather Duster Puppets: Use , pipe cleaners, felt, foam, etc. to decorated feather dusters to make puppets. Paint Brush Puppets: Decorate the metal part of a large flat paintbrush as a face. The bristles becomes the hair. Paint or decorate the handle as the body. ưq`N?0hT1hE$CJOJQJaJhT1hT1CJOJQJaJ"hT1hE$5CJOJQJ\aJ jhT1hT1UmHnHu+hT1h:C5B*CJOJQJ\aJph%hT1h:CB*CJOJQJaJph+hT1hT15B*CJOJQJ\aJph+hT1hl.5B*CJOJQJ\aJph%hT1hl.B*CJOJQJaJph%hT1hl.B*CJ OJQJaJ ph%hT1h:CB*CJ OJQJaJ ph -3>%Gpca!P dd[$\$gd:Cgd:C dd[$\$gdE$gdl.$a$gd:C " -:=23JM-9Ff>PT%8;1G[\]OopٰٰٰٰٰÚل+hT1h:C5B*CJOJQJ\^Jph+hT1hT15B*CJOJQJ\aJph%hT1h:CB*CJOJQJaJph+hT1hl.5B*CJOJQJ\aJph%hT1hl.B*CJOJQJaJph%hT1hT1B*CJOJQJaJph.Fbcnpasu !46ciE O P ԿԿo\o\%hT1h:CB*CJOJQJaJphhT1B*CJOJQJaJph+hT1h:C5B*CJOJQJ\aJph#hT1B*CJOJQJ^JaJph/hT1h:C5B*CJOJQJ\^JaJph)hT1h:CB*CJOJQJ^JaJph)hT1hT1B*CJOJQJ^JaJph+hT1hT15B*CJOJQJ\^Jph#P ^ a !!(!G!H![!]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!͕ͨwcwcwccOw&hT1hl.5CJOJQJ\^JaJ&hT1hl.6CJOJQJ]^JaJ hT1hl.CJOJQJ^JaJhT1hl.OJQJ^J%hT1h:CB*CJOJQJaJph&hT1h:C6CJOJQJ]^JaJ hT15CJOJQJ\^JaJ hT1h:CCJOJQJ^JaJhT1CJOJQJ^JaJ&hT1h:C5CJOJQJ\^JaJ H!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $Ifgdl.dd$If[$\$gdl.gd:C dd[$\$gd:C!!!!!!!""","ðhT1hl.CJOJQJaJhT1he%CJOJQJaJ%hT1hl.B*CJOJQJaJphhT1hl.CJaJhT1hl.OJQJ^J hT1hl.CJOJQJ^JaJ&hT1hl.6CJOJQJ]^JaJ !"""""""""
